Meet Gisella Claytor — Midlothian & Richmond Interior Designer
Hello, and welcome!
My interior design journey began over twelve years ago, training under luxury custom home builder Mike Dumont — an apprenticeship that shaped how I think about scale, craftsmanship, and the relationship between architecture and the interiors that bring it to life. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with homeowners across Richmond, Midlothian, and the surrounding areas to create spaces that feel authentically like home.
As a Richmond-based designer with deep roots in the Midlothian community, I believe the spaces we live in shape how we feel, function, and flourish. But good design isn’t something done to a home — it’s built together with the people who live in it. Every project starts with listening: understanding your lifestyle, the way your family actually moves through a space, and the vision you’ve been carrying around long before we open a single fabric swatch.
From new builds to full home renovations to simple room refreshes, that same collaborative process guides every project I take on — whether it’s a young family settling into their first home in Midlothian or a longtime Richmond homeowner finally tackling the renovation they’ve dreamed about for years.
I specialize in custom home design, residential renovations, and personalized interior styling that reflects your unique lifestyle and aesthetic. My goal is timeless, livable interiors that ground you, renew your spirit, and still feel right ten years from now — not just on installation day.
Whether you’re breaking ground on a new build, planning a remodel, or simply want a trusted partner and a second set of eyes on your next project, I’d love to walk through it with you, together, from the first conversation to the last detail.
